Looks like none of us were right :P Introducing Kio’s latest model, Farun, one of the characters for an upcoming RPG called Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Unde Kure (Please give birth to my child).  According to wikipedia, although it sounds like an eroge, it isn’t.   She comes with some extra bones.  I’m assuming these act like the groove bone for specific limbs, which sounds like a good idea.  I haven’t really sat down to read the article yet… heh. One concern I have is that her boobs aren’t rigged to second upper body bone, so adjusting that bone makes her look really weird.  I’m not sure if it’s intentional.  They’re really well made though :)

I’ve heard rumours that it’s the final version or MDQL’S IA, or Akikoloid. But I also saw a picture in the SeeU issue that showed a picture of the SeeU model and a Tone Rion one, so I have no ideaaaaaaa. 8D

I won’t find out until I pick it up tomorrow XD  I’ll let you know though.

I heard that it was Akikoloid as well.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Tone Rion either, but I dno about IA…  It would be the first time to see a modeler release a beta version of a Windows 100% model, no?

Downtime!

So incase you guys didn’t know, I have arrived in Tokyo.  I can’t work on my model until I move into my dorm next week… which sucks cause I was in the middle of rigging Jupiter’s face.  Even when I do move into my dorm, I’m gonna have loadddds to do, so I may not be able to work on her for a while.

I was excited to go out and buy the newest issue of Windows 100, but…. *sigh*  I’m really not digging Kakomiki’s Aoki Lapis model (sorry!).  This makes me wonder though…. who exactly chooses to make the models for the magazine?  The creator, or the mag itself?  Because I really don’t see why she had to do Aoki…  Appearantly the textures and physics are supposed to be better than Saboten’s version, but she really doesn’t offer much to the table, style wise.  If you didn’t look at the face, you can barely tell the difference between the two.  I’m not dogging on her, but it seems kinda pointless to pay to get a model that’s very similar to the free one. 

I’m hoping that next month’s model will be more interesting ^^

I have no idea why Naoko Takeuchi changed that. I wouldn’t straight up label it as “racism”, but it could have been adjusted so that she wouldn’t look so “different” or “foreign” from the other scouts.  The show was watched by Japanese children in the 90’s.  Times were different back then. But one thing for certain is that a lot of the changes made in the anime were not Naoko’s decisions.  I’m sure that Naoko would have kept her skin color the same shade as the manga.  She also would have kept the Star Lights as women, included Sailor Cosmos, and maybe kept the original Sailor Scout uniforms (the crazy detailed ones)

I tried projection painting for her hair and clothes this time.  Basically, I projected from various angles, then used projection paint to cover the whole mesh.  Blender has so much to offer, I really should sit down and read a book on it or something…. hehe.  

Also, I wanna thank my friend Jonathan and Paul for helping me fix her face up to look more accurate.  I still need to do some touch ups (face is a bit wide, eyebrows, hair line etc), but that’s basically how she’s gonna look.  I really wanna give her eyelashes, but it gets in the way when I start doing facial rigs… My SeeU originally had looong lashes, but I got rid of them because they were driving me crazy XD

Anyways, to respond to the commenters in my last post:

Jason:  Thankyouu <3  She has an “okay” butt at the moment.  I’ll see if I can give her a great butt after I see how her rigging goes ^^

Antiqu-bakery: Yah I understand that.  I just hate it when they do it even when I ask them not to -__-  I know they don’t do it to bother me, but when I’m cranky and tired, it’s a bit unpleasant to see.

Oh god, ONE MORE WEEK!  One more week and I am officially in full control of my future.  No one to wake me up, no one to check up on me, and no one to tell me what to do.  This sounds like a good thing but I am fucking terrified at the moment…  What if I fuck up real bad?  What if people don’t like me?!  OH GOD, it’s like high school all over again!! D:

But on the other hand, I’m currently looking at cell phones to decide which one I want.  I know I shouldn’t go by appearance (same goes with my choice in men), but omfg:

GAHHH so cute!  But I always protect my phone with covers so I guess it would be pointless to pay extra for the cute exterior…. Plus I’m not exactly a chocolates and pink kinda girl -__-  I’ll probably go with the trusty Nexus in the end.  It’s not *kawaii*, but it’s dependable.  And again, I could always just buy or make a cute cellphone cover for it instead.
